What time does a normal day start and end?

Normally tours/activities begin around 8:00am, just after we eat our wonderful breakfast, and usually end around dinner time 8:00pm. Of course there will be some fun, optional morning/night activities outside the “normal day times,” but always having time for a good rest.

What is a private tour?

It is a Tour designed exclusively for you and your family or friends. On a private trip, everybody you travel with will be somebody you know and your pick the dates. Private tours are more flexible when it comes to your group size, travel dates and what your trip includes. You will have the added bonus of making tweaks to our fabulous itineraries from our website, and taking every day at your own pace.

What is a Small group tour?

It is a Tour designed for likeminded traveller who still wants to travel but feeling uncomfortable going alone or not happy joining a large big organized tour bus.

I run every year few exclusive well organized tours for groups from 6 – 8 people. Tour destinations, itineraries and prices are advertised in my website; you just join one of this small groups.

Whichever group tour you choose you will find open people solo traveller, women, couple or friends, that will enrich the experience ending up with lasting friendship, traveling in very small group.

When should I start planning my Holidays?

Private groups Tour planning depends on what time of the year you want to travel, generally you should start planning your holidays at least 6 months in advance.

Small open groups tours and departure dates normally are launched 6 months in advance in my website, but we need to have the minimum of 6 people registered with deposit one-hundred 100 days before starting the tour date.

Europe receive millions of visitor each year, making reservations in less time take a risk of missing out on the availability of our favourite hotels, guides, best train seats and other providers. We often work with small boutique hotels and family run businesses so it is often difficult to hold a non-paid request, so availability may change. We always want the best for our clients and the more time we have the more we can guarantee just that.

In order to plan these amazing trips so many months in advance and make the reservations and commitments necessary to enjoy everything our trips offer at the price they are offered at, your deposit is both a commitment to GEOSTOURS as well as the other travellers who have also signed-up for your specific tour. The deposit not only secures your place on a tour, it also guarantees the ability and success of the tour for all.

What and Where Do we eat while on tour ?

Some of the meals will be included as part of experience local gastronomy in traditional authentic restaurants run by families well rated and selected. Bottled water, tea or coffee are included with all meals. Wine is included with some meals. Beer, soft drinks and cocktails are not included.

Geo will be recommending the best family style restaurants along the way and what items on the menu to taste. We eat most meals together.

Should I get a Travel Insurance

Insurance protects you against unforeseen circumstances that could otherwise spoil your travels and protect your travel investment., so trip cancellation and interruption insurance is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all travellers. Coverage should include medical expenses and repatriation in the event of accident or illness.

In addition, we also strongly recommend that you have coverage for personal belongings, delay at your outward or homeward point of departure, personal liability, overseas legal expenses and cancellation.

What type of traveller do you cater to?

Our Travellers represent a wide range of backgrounds as we do not cater to one particular demographic. The ages range from adults to seniors, including individuals, couples, women, friends and families.

That is the advantage of what we offer.
My fellow’s traveller is grouped into two categories: Those ones between 25 to 45 group age, and the other category are the ones +50Y/old most of them are over 55 Y/old; you can fit into the group that best suits what you are looking for.

All our guests receive the same care and attention from the planning process all the way through to the end of their visit.

What type of transportation do you use on tour?

Our private tours and small group tours can include different forms of travel all dependent on location, chosen sites and activities. Forms of transportation can vary from trains, buses domestic flights, and ferries to private vehicles with professional drivers, depending on your group size.

Smoking is not allowed on all vehicles.

Average age and fitness level of traveller’s?

Ages vary, but for the most part travellers tend to be between 45 – 70 years old, with adequate health and ability to walk several miles a day. We take everything at an enjoyable and relaxing pace, but there is just so much to see, do, and explore that you should expect to be active during most of the day.

Do we get any free-time?

There is some free-time built into the schedule within each city so you have time to explore on your own, or rest up for the next great adventure, as you choose. One of the advantages of such a small group size is it allows for more or less free-time to fluctuate based on the interests and needs of the group. We still have a lot of wonderful activities planned each day too, so you won’t need to worry about a lack of things to enjoy.

Are International flights included?

Flights are not included in our tours. You will need to get yourself to the starting point for the tour, and back from one of our drop-off points at the end. We suggest checking the website of your favourite airline or comparing flight options on Skyscanner.net.
