Day 1 to 2: Bogotá

Welcome to Colombia. You’ll be met by Geo your private guide, transferred to your hotel, clematises to the altitude and adjust to the time difference. Your private guide will take you to the well preserved historical colonial area of La Candelaria, right to the Plaza Bolivar The heart of Bogotá. Surrounding by restaurants, museums and cultural places.

Walk through the local streets down to the most important gold museum in the world t “Museo del Oro” hosting one of the world’s greatest collection of gold, with more than 30.000 objects, relics of pre-Columbian and contemporary Colombia. Climb the Moserrate´s Hill over 10.000 feet of altitude with incredible view of the Bogotá city.

Next day in the Morning You will be surprised visiting Paloquemao´s Farmer Market, and tasting the vast variation of exotic fruit, flowers and the ambient of a real “Plaza de Mercado”.

Days 3 - 5: Cartagena Colonial City

Cartagena is Colombia´s romantic, mesmerizing and charming city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984. There are 8 miles/ 11 Kilometres of beautiful colonial city walled, cobbled stone streets, colourful houses, elegant balconies covered in blossoming flowers and some of the best colonial architecture in the Americas. Cartagena’s colonial district includes Bolivar park, a visit to the Inquisition Palace, the Naval Museum, Clock Tower, Pegasus Wharf, The imposing San Felipe´s Fort and, Santo Domingo Church among others.

Make the most of your time outside the city by visiting the Islas del Rosario, it is a small archipelago of 27 Islands home of white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise water and the richest coral reefs of the world. It’s the perfect beach to take your Instagram photos. While you’re there, have a feast at one of the rustic restaurants lined up at the beach, grab a nice Caribbean cocktail and enjoy the complete Caribbean experience.

Days 6 - 8: Medellin Innovate City and Social Transformation

Medellin is today an unrecognizable city from its infamous past. Today it’s one of the best cities in South America. The social transformation has developed into a bustling city with a lively cultural scene, thriving nightlife and, spectacular modern architecture. Medellin is located in the Andes Surrounded by magnificent mountain views from every angle.

Medellin´s most beautiful and representative places: Famous Pueblito Paisa, barefoot Park, Light Park, Botero´s Square, County hall, Junín, Bolivar Park, Metropolitan Cathedral and the amazing night life at Llera´s Park in the Poblado neighbourhood.

One of the beauty of Colombia are It´s villages, a tour to Guatape, colourful town and it’s zocalos are a must-see during your Guatape trip. Climb the 740 steps from the bottom to the top of El Peñol, referring to the big rock in the mountain to get the most impressive views over the surrounding areas.

Colombia is safe for travellers, like anywhere else in the world, the country has safe and unsafe areas. But overall, Colombia is a traveller-friendly destination. Most Colombians´ are honest, friendly and genuinely helpful. Just be safe, follow my recommendations, use your common sense and enjoy the country.
Currency in the Colombia is pesos $, also known as Peso Colombiano. Most of the places accept credit/debit card payments, and there are plenty of ATMs available. Although, to avoid any local currency exchange fees we suggest withdrawing some cash prior to the trip. Dollar/Pound/Euro are very easy to exchange.
