  • Colombia is safe for travellers, like anywhere else in the world, the country has safe and unsafe areas. But overall, Colombia is a traveller-friendly destination. Most Colombians´ are honest, friendly and genuinely helpful. Just be safe, follow my recommendations, use your common sense and enjoy the country.
  • Currency in the Colombia is pesos $, also known as Peso Colombiano. Most of the places accept credit/debit card payments, and there are plenty of ATMs available. Although, to avoid any local currency exchange fees we suggest withdrawing some cash prior to the trip. Dollar is very easy to exchange.
